The new kitten checklist!

1. Cat litter and litter box.

The kittens used to clumping litter.

2. Dry and wet kitten food.

The kittens eat Royal Canin dry and wet food.

3. Food and water bowls.

We would recommend to buy ceramic or glass bowls. They are hypoallergenic and more hygienic than plastic or metal. Do not buy metal bowls for water.

4. Cat trees and perches.

Cats like to observe the world from on high, and they enjoy climbing and jumping.

5. Cat scratchers.

Kittens and cats instinctively need to scratch. It’s a natural behavior that relieves stress and helps cats file their claws and mark their territory. If you don’t want your kitten scratching your furniture or curtains, place scratching posts and scratching toys throughout your home and reward your kitten with attention and an occasional when they use them.

6. Cat toys.

Kittens love playing toys. You can buy different balls, tunnels, interactive toys, teasers.

7. Cat carrier.

You will need it for transferring the kitte home and for future vet visits.

8. Veterinarian.

Find great vet clinic near you and schedule the appointment  for vet exam asap.

9. Prepare accessories for kitten’s care.

Your new kitten will need brushing ( especially if it’s longhair), trimming nails ( depends on your desire, not necessary). If it gets dirty ( not common 😂), you can bath your cat. We buy “Grooming’s goop” shampoo and conditioner. Or you can buy just shampoo wipes just in case. Also you can brush kittens teeth or buy dental treats, ”greenies” for example ( after kitten in 6 months old).

If your kitten is longhair, you can buy him also hairball paste, treats or grass ( after the kitty is 6 months old).

If the kitten needs eye care, you can buy eye care wipes, or swipe his/ her eyes with wet cotton pad when it’s needed.
